Oppo launches smartphone with 3GB Ram, 16MP front camera

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and is customised with Oppo's ColorOS 3.0 skin on top.

Oppo unveiled its latest smartphone, the A57, in its home country China. The Oppo A57 is a mid-range smartphone which will be available in China starting December 12 at a price of CNY 1,599 (Rs 16,000).  It will be available in two colour variants - Rose Gold and Gold. There's no word yet on launch of Oppo A57 in other markets.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and is customised with Oppo’s ColorOS 3.0 skin on top. The A57 is powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 coupled to 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch display with 2.5D curved glass.

Camera features on the A57 enumerates a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is a 13MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture, alongside an LED flash.

The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the physical button on the front. Internal storage is pegged at 32GB which is expandable via microSD
