Honor 7S with 18:9 display, MediaTek chipset launched

The device packs a 5.45-inch HD+ (720 x 1440) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Honor has launched a new budget smartphone dubbed Honor 7S in Pakistan. The smartphone appears to be a similar variant of another recently launched smartphone called Honor Play 7.  

The device packs a 5.45-inch HD+ (720 x 1440) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the 7S is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 chipset aided by a 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera with a LED Flash along. Upfront, the handset sports a 5MP camera for selfies. It is backed by a 3020mAh battery. The 7S comes with an eye protection mode that adds a blue light filter to the display making it more convenient for users to read. The smartphone carries a label of PKR 14,499 (approximately Rs 8,400) in Pakistan.

Besides, the company recently launched two new smartphones — Honor 7A and Honor 7C in India at starting price of Rs 8,999 and Rs 9,999 respectively.
