iPhone 7 pre-orders expected to start on September 9
Apple's next iPhone is expected to launch in the week of September 12, while some reports suggest September 5 or 6 as the launch date.
Well-known tipster Evan blass has yet again dropped some important info about the upcoming iPhone. The tipster has now revealed the pre-order date for the upcoming flagship.
The pre-orders are expected to begin from September 9. Usually Apple starts pre-orders 2-3 days after the launch, which indicates that the earlier speculated date 5 or 6 September is likely.
The naming of the next model is still the big question. Apple is unlikely to launch this model as iPhone 7, so there is a possibility will keep it a part of the iPhone 6 lineup.
The company is expected to make a design overhaul, including all-screen front design, all front-facing parts incorporated in the screen, and a no-bezel approach. This can be one reason for saving the iPhone 7 name for next year’s model.
Leaks suggest that the new iPhone will have a similar design as the previous variant, apart from the antenna lines which are moved from the back to the top and bottom sides of the device. Also the device will no longer house the 3.5 mm audio jack.
The audio jack will be replaced by a speaker grill and the only connecting port will be the Lightning. The new phone will also have a larger rear camera placed at the top left of the phone, as well as dual cameras on the Plus variant.
