Google Pixel 2 XL to sport a 5.99-inch bezel-less display
The Google Pixel 2 XL is expected to feature a bezel-less display while the standard Pixel 2 will retain the design from its predecessor.
Google is expected to unveil the next iteration of its flagship Pixel smartphone on October 5. As the launch date is inching closer, the rumours have started pouring in at an alarming rate.
According to PhoneArena, the Google Pixel 2 XL is expected to feature a bezel-less display while the standard Pixel 2 will retain the design features of its predecessor. While HTC will continue to make the Pixel 2, LG will be responsible for the larger display Pixel 2 XL.
The Pixel 2 XL is expected to boast a 5.99-inch QHD OLED display, while the standard variant will sport a 4.97-inch Full-HD OLED display. Both smartphones will be sans the 3.5mm audio jack. Both smartphones will run the purest form of the recently launched Android 8.0 Oreo.
Earlier this month, the Pixel 2 XL images were leaked by a tipster on GSMArena. The image showed a dual camera setup on the rear panel. Other rumours suggest that the devices will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 (unannounced). Known tipster Evan Blass tipped that the device will be launched on October 5.
