HMD Global has started updating their flagship Nokia 8 smartphone to Android 8.0 Oreo. The information came directly from Juho Sarvikas, Global executive of HMD Global. The company extensively tested the beta version of Oreo on Nokia 8 before the rollout. Sarvikas further said that the update, now fully certified, is being rolled out to Nokia 8 over several days. It should reach most users by the end of the week. Next in line is the beta releases for Nokia 6 and Nokia 5, the executive added.

The smartphone sported a 5.3-inch QHD IPS LCD display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. The highlight feature of the phone was its imaging with dual 13MP ZEISS certified cameras and a 13MP selfie snapper.
