Unnamed Sony smartphone spotted with Snapdragon 825 SoC
It appears like Sony is working on a new high-end smartphone.
Sony is rumored to be working on a new, high-end smartphone dubbed, ‘Xperia XZ1.’ The device-manufacturer is expected to take the wraps off the aforementioned device at the upcoming IFA, 2017 event. The device was recently spotted on bench-marking website, Geekbench as carrying the model-number, ‘G8341.’
As per the information listed on the website, the handset score 1,909 points in single-core test and 6,459 points in the multi-core test. The smartphone is apparently going to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 825 system-on-chip. Furthermore, the smartphone is speculated to pack 4GB of RAM and will run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
Previously, it has been suggested that the upcoming Sony smartphone is probably going to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. The device is expected to house 4,000mAh battery. On the camera front, the smartphone is probably going to feature a 19MP front snapper.
