Sony launches its first X series smartphones

Xperia X is priced at Rs 48,990, while the Xperia XA is priced at Rs 20,990.

Sony India has launched its latest ‘X’ series smartphones, Xperia X and Xperia XA, on Monday. The handsets are aimed towards those who are seeking a decent smartphone with a good battery life. The company claims the devices to have a two-day long battery life.

The Xperia X features  a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB flash memory (single SIM and up to 64GB flash memory for dual SIM) which can be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android Marshmallow and has a 2620 mAh battery. As for the camera, the device sports a 23MP rear camera and a 13MP wide-angle front camera with Sony Exmor RS.

On the other hand, Xperia XA features a 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard memory which can be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card. It also runs on Android Marshmallow and has a 2300 mAh battery. In terms of camera, the device sports a rear 13MP sensor, while the front-camera sports an 8GB sensor.

Both the ‘X’ series feature Predictive Hybrid Autofocus allowing a user to focus on a subject and then predict its motion. The camera start-up of the device is fast and shots can be captured in approximately 0.61 seconds. The smarthphones also sport dual SIM capabilities and 4G network.

Xperia X will be available for Rs 48,990 from June 7, while the Xperia XA will be available for Rs 20,990 from third week of June. The devices will be available at all Sony centres, Xperia flagship stores, mobile and electronic stores and on Amazon.
