Micromax has launched its Selfie 2 smartphone for the Indian market. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available in all major retail stores starting August 1. 

As for the specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable up to 64 GB using microSD card.

The highlight of the device is its front facing 8MP Sony IM135 sensor paired with a soft flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the rear panel you’ll find a 13MP camera with LED flash. The Gallery 4.0 feature uses image and facial recognition technologies that searches for pictures in the gallery by recognising user’s face.
