OpenAI Releases ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode For Web

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode feature to the web which lets users talk to the AI chatbot from the browser.
OpenAI Chief Product Officer, Kevin Well, announced the launch of the feature on X.
However, the feature is rolling out this week ChatGPT paid users which means you have to be Plus, Enterprise, Teams, Edu subscriber.
Weil said that OpenAI will look to roll to free users in the coming weeks.
The AI company earlier launched Advanced Voice Mode in iOS and Android apps in September.
The Advanced Voice Mode uses OpenAI’s GPT-4o’s audio capabilities that allows natural and real-time conversations between ChatGPT and users. The chatbot will respond with emotions as well as to non-verbal cues.
To access this feature, you have to select the voice icon on the ChatGPT’s prompt window and then you have to give permission to your browser for accessing your computer’s microphone then you will be taken to a screen with blue orb in the center. The user can choose output voices for the chatbot and each has its own tone and character.
