The HOUSE (is) full' again
With the popular 90s sitcom returning to the screen, fans weigh in on what it means for them and take a walk down memory lane.
Li’l Stephanie’s awwdorable ‘how rude’ and Uncle Jesse’s irresistible hotness — if you’re the kind that was obsessed with Full House, then this news will make you squeal with utter joy.
The all-time favorite 90s family show is back with a sequel titled Fuller House (yes, with the very same cast), which will be aired from February 26 on Netflix, which recently made its foray into India.
For fans of the superhit American sitcom, this is going to be one impatient wait.
“I am so excited that Full House is getting a reboot. The memory that I have of the show is of how three guys raise three girls through testing times. There was always something nice you could take away from each episode,” recalls homemaker Lakshmi Praveen.
Fuller House will focus on DJ, the family’s eldest daughter, who’s now a widow and decides to move back to the old Tanner house to raise her three kids. She’ll have her best friend Kimmy Gibbler and sister Stephanie to help her.
Michelle Tanner however, will be conspicuous by her absence as the Olsen twins — Mary-Kate and Ashley — won’t be back in the house. “I’m not sure I’d miss Michelle because at one point her character had gotten a little bratty. But it’s lovely to see Candace and Jodie back with Andrea,” added Lakshmi.
Singer Kamakshi Rai is also one of those 90s kids that grew up with Full House. “Each character was perfect, and the show would transport me to another place in my mind. I’m very curious to see how DJ handles being a mum,” she said.
Jesse, the guitar-strumming biker boy in the show, was the sole reason for millions of teenage girls to get hooked to the sitcom. “I’m a huge fan of John Stamos and I can’t wait to watch him again,” says student Ishani Kumar. “I ‘d love to see how Jesse and Becky’s (Lori Loughlin) characters have shaped up now. I also want to see how their sons look now. I’m really going to miss Michelle though.” For a generation that grew up laughing and crying with the Tanners, Fuller House promises to be a total treat. Are you geared up to go – have mercy?
