Connecticut, United States: In a bizarre incident, a woman has been arrested for biting off the tongue of her boyfriend during a passionate kiss.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the couple Shakeia Long and Dwayne Williams were sharing a passionate kiss when Long allegedly bit off a large chunk of Williams tongue.

Scared, Williams picked up the chunk of his tongue, left Long's house and immediately rushed to the hospital. On his way to the hospital, he managed to catch the attention of a police officer who was passing by, and told him that his girlfriend bit off his tongue.

The police officer took Williams to St. Francis Hospital where the medics promptly placed the piece of his tongue on a slab of ice in order to prevent it from decaying. Later, they tried to reattach his tongue.

Investigators traced down Long and while she was being interrogated, she revealed that she was high on PCP drug when she and Williams were making out. Long claimed that she was unaware of what had happened.

She has been charged with first-degree assault and is due in court on March 31.
