Keiana Herndon's mother said that the cause of her death was possibly due to a \"thyroid problem\".
Arkansas: 25-year-old Keiana Herndon from Arkansas, US fainted and died of a heart failure while broadcasting live on Facebook , on December 28.
A report in the Independent says that Herndon collapsed while she was broadcasting with her one-year-old son from her friend's house.
She started the broadcast singing and speaking of how she wished to go back to school, but soon after, her behaviour changed as the viewers saw her wiping her face and shaking her head, KATV reported.
As she fell, she dropped the phone putting her son and her out of visibility range.
The video only ended 30 minutes later when Herndon's friend rushed in and called the emergency services. She was taken to the hospital but could not be revived.
Richard Herndon, father of the Keiana Herndon, told KARK, ""The views went from two or three, to too many for it to be a tragic live shot.
“It's amazing for someone to sit there and see somebody or hear them take their last breath, and nobody did anything.”
Her mother said that the cause of her death was possibly due to a "thyroid problem".
“The thyroid messes with everything and it triggered her heart,” she said.
The video has since been deleted from Facebook.
