Washington D.C.: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to reach the United States on a visit, the Indian Tricolour was seen at the White House, Washington D.C. on Sunday.

Non-resident Indians in the US were happy to witness the Indian flag flying high at the White House.

"It is really a pride to see the tricolour. It is an indication for the strong ties our country has with the US," said an NRI in New Jersey.

Modi will address the Joint Sitting of the US Congress from June 20-24 and he is also scheduled to meet a number of American politicians, prominent citizes as well as noted personalities from the diaspora.

Modi headed to the US following invitation from US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
