Hyderabad: Former President of United States of America, George W. Bush slipped up during a speech on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, condemning instead the “unjustified and brutal” invasion of Iraq.
“The decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq,” Bush said.
“I mean, of Ukraine,” he said, before adding, “Iraq, too. Anyway—”
Bush admitted his mistake by making a joke about his age. “I’m 75,” he said, which prompted laughter from the audience.
The video has gone viral on some social media platforms.
George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003 in pursuit of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) has been widely condemned by critics for being an unjustified invasion.
