As Barack Obama prepares to end his eight-year term as the President of the United States of America and hand over the administration to his successor Donald Trump, we take a look back at five things he will be remembered for.

1. Friends for life - Obama and Biden's Bromance

After working together for eight years and having faced challenges during their time in office, Obama and Biden's friendship will continue even after the two leave office.

Recently, a teary-eyed Obama presented Biden with the Medal of Freedom, terming him as 'one of the finest man he has ever met'.

2. Obama's adorable moments with children

Unlike the incoming President Donald Trump, Barack Obama has a very different approach towards children. During his term in office, there had been many instances when the out-going President was seen freely playing and interacting with children in the Oval Office.

Obama was once seen playing with one of his staffer's kids who was dressed as Spiderman. The child pretended to shoot Obama who in turn continued playing and acted as if he was caught.

3. Sometimes you gotta have fun!

On August 9, 2010, when Trip Director Marvin Nicholson tried to check his weight in the volleyball locker room at Austin's University of Texas, Barack Obama playfully stepped on the weighing scale from behind without Nicholson's knowledge.

And its not just Obama! His staff members too are quick with their responses. The White House staff played a prank on Obama last week when they made a creepy snowman.

In one of his interviews, Obama had said that he is not a fan of snowman, adding that he would move out if he found a snowman in his bedroom. However, the White House staff, in a playful mood, placed a snowman close to Obama's bedroom in such a way that he could see it peeping through his window.

4. Love never fades

Obama met Michelle nearly two decades ago when she was assigned to mentor him at a Chicago law firm. The couple tied knot in 1992 and have been by each others side since then. From holding hands in public to Michelle adjusting Obama's tie - the couple created beautiful memories together.

5. Obama's love for America

At a time when Obama is busy passing on the Presidential responsibilities to Donald Trump, he took a moment to thank his fellow countrymen and his staff members for all the continued support and love throughout the eight years of his tenure.

In his thank you letter to his fellow Americans, he mentioned that their love, support and confidence in him has made him a 'better man'.

Lets hope incoming President Donald Trump continues Obama's legacy and works towards a better future for America.
