Watch: US navy submarine appears from under the ice in Arctic Circle

Washington, United States: A video footage released by the US navy shows the breathtaking moment when a navy submarine emerges from under a thick layer of ice in the Arctic circle, according to a report.

As a part of the five-week long Ice Exercise 2016, the navy said that the submarine was used for research and testing of operational capabilities in the Arctic Circle.

The video shows a black coloured tower-like portion of the submarine breaking the ice and emerging out of it.

Navy personnel are then seen breaking the ice to allow access to the submarine.
