US mother punches, threatens to kill toddler for losing phone charger, arrested

Colorado: In a terrifying case of child abuse, a woman has been arrested on the charges of punching, abusing and threatening to kill her two-year-old son for allegedly losing a mobile phone charger.

The shocking incident took place in the town of Lochbuie near Denver, a city in the US state of Colorado.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Kristina Flores-Kennedy, 27, was charged with child cruelty and abuse after a video of her threatening her toddler went viral on social media.

The video was uploaded on Facebook by Flores-Kennedy's roommate in order to fetch some help for the poor boy.

The 16-minute long barbaric video clip starts with the accused woman shouting at the toddler, asking him to find her lost charger, while hurling abuses at him. The woman screams at the toddler as he stands in a corner and cries. The clip also shows Flores-Kennedy bending over the boy's crib and punching him several times as the toddler cries and screams.

Police officials said that when they found the young boy, his body was covered with bruises. There were marks on his arms as well as legs. They also found black spots on his forehead which resembled bruises.

After getting arrested, Flores-Kennedy pleaded guilty of threatening the child and said that she had 'lost her temper'. She also said that she was ready to take responsibility for her actions.

She has been charged with two counts of child abuse and is held on a bond of $3000.

The toddler's father said that he was unaware of Flores-Kennedy's behaviour and is looking forward to the custody of his son.
