Fidel Castro was a staunch communist and defied the US for years.
Known for his trademark cigar, which he recluctantly gave up due to health reasons, Cuban leader and guerrilla revolutionary Fidel Castro passed away on Friday in Havana at 90. His death sparked both glowing tributes and sharp criticism for his political ideologies and diplomatic stance.
