Dubai Crown Prince travels on London Underground, photo goes viral
The Instagram photo had 101,000 likes within three hours of being posted.
London: Spotting royalty on public transport is a rare occurrence, but commuters travelling on the London Underground were in for a treat on Monday.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai on Monday posted a photo of himself and his father, the Ruler of Dubai, casually riding with other commuters on the London tube's central line.
The picture, posted by the prince on Instagram and Twitter, soon went viral receiving over 1,000 likes per minute. The instagram photo had 101,000 likes within three hours of being posted.
A video also surfaced on twitter, which shows them sitting on the metro while the next station, Mile End, is being announced.

Sheikh Hamdan, who went to university at the London School of Economics, is likely to be familiar with the city and the public transport.
