Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who has been holed up inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London since 2012, has pleaded with the new Ecuadorian government to help with his release from the embassy, the express.co.uk reported. In a statement, he said: “We hope that the new government in Ecuador can renew attempts to implement this (UN) decision.” He was referring to the UN ruling that said his detention was illegal and he should be allowed to be released. He made the plea to the new government following the April polls.
