Teenagers sexually assault minor girl, UK judge calls it case of experimentation'
The schoolboys recorded the sexual assault and posted the video on Facebook.
A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by teenage schoolboys in UK, who allegedly recorded the whole incident and shared the video on Facebook.
According to a report in the Mirror, the attack took place at a house party in Stoke and two 16-year-old boys confessed to their sex offences.
The victim told the court that she plunged into depression following the attack and has suicidal thoughts.
“I feel depressed and have depressing thoughts. I feel ugly and I don’t like my body. I feel life is pointless and I stay in bed a lot. I am angry at them for what they did. It all gets too much sometimes and I feel more emotional now than I used to,” the victim said in her impact statement.
The District Judge who was presiding over the case told the two accused boys that they were involved in very ‘serious offences’. However, he gave them benefit out doubt despite the nature of their crime.
“While there is no evidence of either of you coercing this little girl, and that’s what she is, the fact is there was a group of you involved which makes a lack of objection rather meaningless. I take the view, although it’s an extreme case, that this is a case of experimentation by young children rather than something more sinister,” the Judge said.
The court expressed concern over the fact that the incident was filmed but rued that what had happened ‘can’t be undone’.
The boys were ordered to pay the victim a total of £150 as surcharges and costs each and were handed out a 12-month referral orders.
