At least 10 migrants drown off Turkish coast: coastguard

The migrants had set off from the district of Ayvacik in Canakkale province in an apparent bid to reach the Greek island of Lesbos.

Ayvacik, Turkey: At least ten migrants, including five children, were killed on Saturday when their boat sank in the Aegean Sea while trying to cross from Turkey to a Greek island, a Turkish coastguard official said.

The migrants had set off from the district of Ayvacik in Canakkale province in an apparent bid to reach the Greek island of Lesbos.
