Hyderabad student who went missing in US, found safe: Police

Hyderabad: Kandula Nitheesha, the 23-year old Bodhan native, who went missing in California since May 28, has been located and is safe, the Los Angeles police said.

John Guttierez, chief of the California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) police department, posted on X that Kandula had been located and was safe. Ge did not give any details about her current whereabouts, and how and where she was found.

“The missing student identified in this bulletin who was reported missing on May 28, 2024, in Los Angeles, has been located and is safe!”, he posted on X.

Kandula went missing on May 28, and was last seen in Los Angeles travelling in a car. She is a student of California State University, San Bernardino. Her missing report was filed on May 30.

Police had sought the public's help to find Kandula, urging people with information on her whereabouts to contact authorities. She was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 160 pounds (72.5 kgs) in weight with black hair and black eyes in the police's written statement.
