Islamabad: Pakistan said on Thursday that at least three people were injured when Indian forces resorted to "unprovoked" firing across the Line of Control.
According to an army statement, Indian troops opened fire at Battal, Jandrot and Hotspring sectors at the LoC this morning. "Three people were injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing," it said.
Pakistani troops were "effectively engaging Indian positions and responding to the fire," the statement said. The two sides regularly accuse each other of violating the ceasefire agreement in which civilians are killed and injured.
Pakistan last week said that a 60-year-old woman was killed when an Indian shell landed on her house and exploded in Naali village of Bhimber district.
