Terror-bid foiled in Pakistan, 15kg bomb defused

Peshawar: Pakistani security forces on Monday foiled a terror bid by defusing a 15-Kg bomb planted in a cart in a market in this northwestern city.

The unidentified miscreants had planted the remote-controlled bomb in a pushcart in Karkhano Market, hub of foreign goods situated at the confluence of Peshawar and Khyber Agency.

On receiving the information about the bomb, police rushed to the area and defused the bomb.

SSP Operation Peshawar said the report was received regarding a battery lying unattended on a pushcart. Bomb disposal squad was called immediately who defused the bomb.
