Islamabad: Pakistani security agencies have decided to seal Allama Iqbal International Airport on ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s return from London. The law enforcement agencies have prepared a security plan under which Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will be sent to Islamabad on another plane immediately after their arrival at Lahore airport.

The father and daughter have announced to return Pakistan from London on July 13 after accountability court announced verdict in Avenfield reference. The National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) investigation team have already arrested Nawaz’s son-in-law Mohammed Safdar from Rawalpindi.

On Friday, former PM Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Mr Safdar were convicted and sentenced to prison in absentia for ten years, seven years and one year respectively, in a verdict that is likely to further disrupt an already chaotic campaign for national elections this month.
