Kulbhushan Jadhav won't be executed anytime soon, says Pakistan

The spokesperson said that visas have been issued to the wife and mother of agent Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Islamabad: Pakistan on Thursday said that Kulbushan Jadhav, Indian national jailed in Pakistan, will not be executed anytime soon.

Addressing a news briefing here on Thursday, foreign office spokesperson Dr Mohammed Faisal said Jadhav still had pending mercy appeals so his execution was not on cards.

The spokesperson said that visas have been issued to the wife and mother of agent Kulbhushan Jadhav and their meeting would take place in Islamabad on December 25.

He said this should not be considered as the last meeting because Jadhav had not exhausted  mercy appeals.
