Chennai: Namal Rajapaksa, the outspoken son of former Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, on Sunday attacked Tamil Nadu’s politicians for opposing Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s visit to Jaffna, saying they will “not allow anyone” to do good to ethnic Tamils.

“True nature of Tamil Nadu politicians is revealed again. They won’t allow anyone, even @superstarrajini, to help #SriLanka’s Tamil people,” Namal, also an MP, tweeted.

Later, he also told an English TV channel from India that Rajini’s visit was blocked due to “political reasons.” “What have Tamil (Indian) politicians done for Sri Lankan Tamils except protesting?”  Namal asked.

This is not the first time that Namal is speaking against Tamil Nadu politicians. He had taken to Twitter even on earlier occasions to criticise politicians from the state on their stand on Sri Lankan Tamils issue.
