Earthquake of 5.7 magnitude hits Afghanistan
No loss of life or property has been reported so far.
Kabul: Tremors of a moderate earthquake of 5.7 magnitude were felt across Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on late Saturday night.
According to reports, the effect of the earthquake was felt the most in regions of Hafizabad, upper Dir and surrounding areas. The impact was also felt in parts of Pakistan's Islamabad.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far.
In the same month in 2015, an earthquake of 7.5 magnitude hit the Hindu Kush region with the epicenter 45 km north of Alaqahdari-ye Kiran wa Munjan, Afghanistan. The calamity killed at least 399 people in different parts.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake on Richter Scale, however, has a low humanitarian impact and is not strong enough to cause loss of life and property.
