Randeep Hooda gives nine horses a new lease of life
He plans to rehabilitate them in his farmhouse in Gurgoan, wishes to get them back on the track and start racing again.
Mumbai: An animal welfare NGO had rescued 49 abandoned former racehorses after they were found eating plaster and debris out of hunger. They spent three years at a Gurgoan-based stud farm for treatment and rehabilitation. Soon after the rescue, seven horses died during treatment. The NGO managed to revive 42 horses but they were severely affected because of multiple diseases. Eventually, 18 more died over the past two years and only 24 of them are left.
Randeep Hooda decided to step in and has adopted nine of these horses on Saturday. Earlier, he had no space to rehabilitate them but now that he bought a farmhouse in Gurgoan, he can take care of these lovely animals. He also wishes to get them back on the track and start racing again.
