BRS Gears Up for Grand Celebrations on 25th Anniversary
BRS MLAs, MLCs, and senior leaders are busy with arrangements to ensure the event runs smoothly, with preparatory meetings underway across the state as the gathering is expected to attract lakhs of people

WARANGAL: The BRS is set to mark its 25-year journey and honour the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao with a massive public meeting on April 27 at Elkathurthy in Husnabad constituency. Speaking at a press meet in Hanamkonda on Friday, former government chief whip and district BRS party president Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar announced the event, crediting Chandrashekar Rao for turning the six-decade-old Telangana dream into reality.
BRS MLC Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary described Chandrashekar Rao as a fearless leader who spearheaded the struggle for Telangana with relentless determination, noting that "it was either Telangana or Chandrashekar Rao’s life." Under Chandrashekar Rao’s decade-long governance post-statehood, Telangana has emerged as a national development model, with policies inspired by Ambedkar, Gandhi, and Phule that emphasised education, healthcare, and inclusive welfare.
In a show of support, former MLA Vodithala Satish Babu and local farmers have donated approximately 1,200 acres for the event. One farmer, despite having pending harvests, offered his land free of charge, stating, “We don’t ask money for KCR’s meeting.”
BRS MLAs, MLCs, and senior leaders are busy with arrangements to ensure the event runs smoothly, with preparatory meetings underway across the state as the gathering is expected to attract lakhs of people. The party also criticized the Congress government for alleged betrayals, citing land scams in Lagcherla and Gachibowli as evidence of misplaced priorities. Additionally, leaders have called for the conferment of the Bharat Ratna on social reformers Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule.
Senior leaders, including Peddi Sudarshan Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, were also present at the press meet, pledging to make the event a grand success.
