Acer MUVI 125 4G e-scooter launched at Rs 1 lakh
PUNE: Electronic giant Acer on Sunday forayed into the lucrative electric two-wheeler market by launching its maiden electric scooter called the MUVI-125-4G in the Indian market priced at Rs 1 lakh at Hyderabad showroom.
This new electric scooter competes against the likes of the Okinawa, Hero Electric, Ampere, Okaya, Joy e-bikes, Hop, Godavari, and Pure EV, among others.
The Acer MUVI 125 4G is developed and manufactured under the partnership between Taiwan-based Acer and Indian EV maker eBikeGo.
This new scooter, which is aimed at providing a futuristic electric mobility solution for urban commuters, comes with swappable batteries, ensuring convenient and hassle-free charging.
The two removable batteries offer a range of 80 kilometers per charge and can reach a top speed of 75 kmph.
The scooter claims to have a charging time of around four hours and also provides the option to use just one battery at a time.
The scooter is equipped with an innovative rear shock absorber system and a front hydraulic fork, providing agility and stability to riders.
Users can connect their Android or iOS smartphone to the scooter, enabling them to customize the vehicle and transform it into an interactive machine. The scooter includes a Bluetooth-enabled 4-inch LCD screen with three configurations available.
The Acer MUVI 125 4G is the first EV model to be launched under the Acer brand in India. The company plans to introduce multiple 2 and 3-wheeler EVs, such as e-bicycles, e-bikes, and e-trikes.
The company said the dealership network across India's major cities is underway.
