Hyundai launches new Aura sedan at Rs 6.30 lakh

PUNE: Hyundai Motor, India’s second biggest carmaker, on Monday introduced the new Hyundai Aura sedan to push volumes in the fiercely competitive car market led by rival market leader Maruti Suzuki.

The new Aura facelift is priced in the range of Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 8.72 lakh for the petrol variants and Aura CNG variants cost Rs 8.1 lakh and Rs 8.87 lakh for top variant at pan India showroom.

Like the Grand i10 Nios, the Aura also receives cosmetic updates, especially around the front fascia. The car gets a redesigned grille, bumpers, new L-shaped LED daytime running lights and 15-inch Diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Aura gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control and voice recognition. The car also comes equipped with automatic headlamps, footwell lighting, and a new 3.5-inch MID.

The Aura is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82 BHP and 114 Nm of torque. The car also gets a factory-fitted CNG option. When running on CNG, the engine’s output drops to 68 BHP and 95.2 Nm.

Both powertrain options are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed AMT is available on the top variant.

All variants of the Aura come equipped with 4 airbags as standard. Customers also get the option to upgrade to 6 airbags. Additionally, the car gets ESC, VSM, Hill Start Assist Control, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
