PUNE: Mercedes-Benz, India’s biggest luxury car maker, on Wednesday introduced the updated Mercedes A-Class Limousine and Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4Matic+ facelift priced at Rs 45.80 lakh and Rs 92.50 lakh at pan India showroom respectively.
The Pune-based German automaker has also confirmed that while the A-Limousine is available in petrol form, the A 200d diesel option will be available in Q4 of 2023.
Upgrades come in the form of revised styling and updates in the infotainment software.
The A200 Limousine facelift gets a redesigned grille that features a new pattern. It also receives a revised front grille with a Mercedes star motif. The new 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels emphasize the sedan's athletic nature even further. The sedan receives a new LED tail light and a redesigned bumper at the back.
The AMG Crest takes centre stage in the revised Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4Matic+ for the 2023 model year, while the LED headlights have been altered with a new AMG-specific grille in place. Mercedes is selling the AMG rear Aerofoil as an accessory, allowing buyers to further customize their vehicle.
The sedan is powered by the same 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DCT transmission. The engine generates 163PS and 250Nm of peak torque.
The facelifted 2023 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4Matic+ retains the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 421PS, making it the most powerful hatchback in the country. The engine is mated to an 8-speed AMG SpeedShift gearbox, which transfers power to all four wheels through the 4Matic+ AWD system. The AMG A 45 S can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds.
“Inspired by A-Class success, we are now introducing an upgraded New A-Class with design changes and significant tech enhancements,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO at Mercedes-Benz India.
He said the AMG A 45 S 4matic+ remains India’s fastest and most attractive luxury performance hatchback. Made specifically for performance purists, the improved AMG A 45 S sports the AMG emblem and design with pride, Iyer noted.
