Hyundai is expected to introduce new Creta in India with BS6 engines by Feb 2020.
The upcoming second-gen Hyundai Creta has been spied testing in India yet again. While still covered in camouflage, the latest spy shots suggest that the new Creta will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof like the one offered in the China-spec ix25.
The current-gen Creta gets a regular-sized electric sunroof and the only segment rival to offer the same is the new Kia Seltos. However, the MG Hector does offer a panoramic sunroof and this mid-size 5-seater SUV is also one of Creta’s rivals on the basis of price. The next-gen Creta, which is expected to make its India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo, has already been showcased in China where it is known as the ix25.

The second-gen Creta’s feature list is also expected to include an embedded eSIM for internet connectivity with BlueLink connected car features. It is likely to carry forward other premium features like ventilated front seats, wireless charging, cruise control and upto six airbags.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta will be powered by the same BS6 powertrain options as the Kia Seltos - a set of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. It will continue to rival the likes of the Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, MG Hector and Tata Harrier as well.
