PUNE: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday introduced the much-awaited multi-purpose vehicle Innova Hycross priced at Rs 18.30 lakh for the base petrol variant and going all the way up to Rs 28.97 lakh at the pan India showroom, for the top-end strong hybrid variant.
Bookings for the Innova Hycross are already underway for a token amount of Rs 50,000, and it will be sold alongside the Innova Crysta.
The Japanese car manufacturer unveiled the new Innova HyCross MPV in November. Toyota Innova HyCross is being offered as a premium MPV and placed slightly over the older Innova Crysta. The price for Innova Crysta starts at Rs 18.09 lakh goes up to Rs 23.83 lakh. The base variant of Innova Crysta is Rs 21,000 less expensive than the new Innova HyCross while in the top-end variant, the difference is over Rs 5 lakh.
The Innova Hycross is available in five variants. It gets a dual-tone interior with a choice of 7-seat or 8-seat configuration. The MPV has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The centre console houses a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a gear shifter, an electronic parking brake and other functions.
The Innova Hycross is available with a pure petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrain. Both engines are offered with a CVT that drives the front axle.
The 2.0-litre petrol puts out 172 BHP and 197 Nm. The strong-hybrid version also uses a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with Toyota’s 5th-gen strong-hybrid tech for a combined output of 183 BHP. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency figure of 23.24kpl for the hybrid, which is highest in its segment, while the naturally aspirated version gets a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 16.13kpl.
Toyota is offering a warranty of 3 years/100,000 kilometers and an option of extended warranty of up to 5 years/220,000 kilometers, 3 years free roadside assistance, attractive financial schemes and 8 yrs/160,000 kilometers warranty on the Hybrid battery.
