Euler Brings India’s First Adas Cargo Vehicle

New Delhi: In a first in the light commercial vehicle or LCV segment, Euler Motors, the electric commercial vehicle maker, on Wednesday introduced Storm EV, India’s first ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) equipped four-wheeler LCV with two models for intercity and intracity use.

The Delhi-based company has invested over Rs 100 crore in indigenous design and develop the new vehicle at its R&D Centre at Palwal in Haryana where it also has its factory.

While the Euler Storm EV Long Range 200 (intercity) is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh, Storm EV T1250 (intracity) costs Rs 8.99 lakh at the Delhi showroom.

“Our innovative Storm EV electric cargo vehicles will disrupt the light commercial vehicle segment in India,” Saurav Kumar, founder-CEO at Euler Motors told Financial Chronicle.

“We will be number one or two shortly in this fiercely competitive market,” he noted, because of Storm EV’s first-in-segment features, without giving sales numbers. These innovative features are a real range of 200 km per charge in Storm EV Long Range, 4 mm tubular box armoured chassis, 8-semi elliptical lead springs with roll arrest bar, active liquid-cooled battery by AR200, night vision assist, front camera collision sensors, digital lock, 24x7 CCTV monitoring, immersive infotainment system and expanded warranty of seven years, the company said.

Euler Motor competes with established players such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, and Bajaj Auto.

Both models come with a 1250 kg payload capacity, marking the company’s foray into the four-wheeler light commercial vehicle segment.

Kumar said Storm EV LongRange is the first vehicle in this segment designed for intercity use, offering an industry leading real range of 200 km per charge to enable cargo mobility between nearby cities like Delhi to Jaipur or from Chennai to Vellor.

He said another 100 km range could be added in 15 minutes flat as CCS fast charging makes it easy to access high way charging infrastructure.

The Storm EV T1250 for intracity use boasts of a real range of 140 km. The DC001 fast-charging protocol offers 100 km range in 30 minutes of charging.

“Customers want to maximize earnings without paying a massive premium over ICE (internal cumbustion engine) vehicles,” Kumar said.
