Kerala's automotive technology expertise shone brightly at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with the debut of the Invest Kerala Pavilion at the Nasscom Mobility Tech Zone.
New Delhi: Kerala's automotive technology expertise shone brightly at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with the debut of the Invest Kerala Pavilion at the Nasscom Mobility Tech Zone. Themed "Kerala: The Global Automotive Technology Hub for OEMs and Tier-1s," the 117 sq. m pavilion spotlighted the state’s advanced technology solutions and engineering talent.
Four Kerala-based companies—Acsia Technologies, Hykon India, chargeMOD, and C-Electric Drives—represented the state, showcasing innovations in Android Automotive, AI/ML, electric powertrains, lithium batteries, EV charging solutions, and battery energy storage systems.
Acsia being the chosen delivery partner for the world’s leading OEMs & Tier 1s, was at expo. CII Thiruvananthapuram Zone Chair and Acsia Technologies Founder & CEO, Mr. Jijimon Chandran, remarked, “Kerala has the expertise and skilled talent to position itself as a global hub for the automotive industry. This initiative by the Department of Industries, Government of Kerala, reflects our collective vision of showcasing Kerala as a premier technology destination.”
Kerala is fostering a robust ecosystem for EV startups and entrepreneurs. Companies like ChargeMOD and other homegrown brands are making significant contributions to EV infrastructure and charging technology. With over 3,700 charging stations across India and an expansion into Nepal, Co-founder and CEO of chargeMOD, Kerala’s leading energy-tech startup, M. Ramanunni shared, “Bharat Mobility offers us a platform to forge strategic partnerships, enabling us to further our mission of sustainable and efficient transportation solutions.”
Kerala is seeing a surge in investments in automotive manufacturing and assembly units.With a growing focus on sustainability, innovation, and infrastructure, the state is attracting investments from leading automotive brands and technology innovators.
Hykon India, a 33-year-old power electronics leader, highlighted its contributions to energy efficiency and sustainability . DGM of R&D, Ajish T.G., noted, “The expo showcases groundbreaking products and solutions, paving the way for a greener future.”
C Electric Automotive Drives Pvt. Ltd., specializing in motor controllers for light vehicles, emphasized the importance of the event as a collaborative platform. CEO Bavil Varghese asserted, “Bharat Mobility 2025 isn’t just an event; it’s a call to action for all stakeholders in the EV ecosystem.”
The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) facilitated the participation, reaffirming its commitment to promoting Kerala as a global hub for automotive technology innovation.
