Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV Launched at Rs 2.25 Cr

PUNE: Mercedes-Benz on Thursday introduced its flagship electric SUV, the Maybach EQS in the Indian market priced at Rs 2.25 crore at pan India showroom in the ultra-luxury segment.

The battery electric portfolio from the German automaker now has five models, comprising EQA, EQB, EQE, EQS sedan, and Maybach EQS 680.
The Pune-based automaker said Mercedes Maybach packs a massive 107.8 kWh battery pack, promising 611 (WLTP cycle) kilometres on a single charge.

The dual-motor setup is power rated at 484 kW and 950 Nm. Maybach EQSS 680 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 kmph.

The battery can be recharged using a 200 kW fast charger, allowing 10 to 80 per cent in 31 minutes via a 200 kW DC fast charger.

The electric SUV features a massive black grille panel at the front which features vertical chrome strips, replicating the Maybach waterfall grille. The front panel also houses the radar panel, while the brand's three-pointed star has been moved onto the bonnet. The Maybach EQS also comes with the trademark dual-tone paint scheme.

Inside, the SUV features Mercedes' latest MBUX Hyperscreen with Maybach-specific start-up animations. There is a rear-entertainment package which includes dual 11.6-inch displays mounted on the back of the front seats. The seats themselves come upholstered in Nappa leather and feature recline and massage functions. The rear seat passengers also get a centre console with wooden trims and access to the trunk fridge.

Other features offered on the Maybach EQS include a Chauffeur package and First-Class rear package with thermal cup holders, a shelf for the rear MBUX tablet, folding tables and plenty of other features and tech.
