Mercedes rolls out GLE300d AMG Line at Rs 97.85 lakh
Pune: Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car maker, on Tuesday introduced the GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line at a base price of Rs 97.85 lakh at the pan India showroom.
This new launch, which replaces the standard version of the GLE 300d, also marks the GLE range now being offered with the AMG Line kit.
THE Pune-based automaker now offers ‘AMG Line’ for all three variants of the GLE SUV such as the GLE 300d, GLE 450d, and GLE 450.
“The GLE remains Mercedes-Benz’s most successful SUV in India with over 22,000 units on Indian roads, firmly reiterating the overwhelming customer response since its debut,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO at Mercedes-Benz India.
He said GLE’s high customer acceptance is now further bolstered with the introduction of a dynamic ‘AMG Line’ in the GLE 300d variant.
“The AMG Line in the GLE 300d enhances the SUV’s visual appeal, making it more dynamic with a striking exterior, underlining the growing customer demand for an ‘AMG Line’ in our vehicles,” Iyer noted.
The new GLE 300d AMG Line features 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels painted in Tremolite Grey, larger brakes, a new diamond grille design, tweaked fascia, and body-colored front and rear wing flares.
Inside, the car comes equipped with the latest MBUX system and a 13-speaker Burmester-sourced music system.
The Mercedes GLE300d AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine belting out 269hp and 550Nm. There’s a 48V mild-hybrid integrated starter-generator (ISG), adding an additional 20hp and 200Nm to the peak outputs.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Mercedes claims that the diesel GLE can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 6.9 seconds before hitting its 230kph top speed.
