Pune: MG Motor, the British automaker, on Tuesday, introduced the 'DesertStorm' and 'SnowStorm' editions of the Gloster SUV in the Indian market priced at Rs 41.05 lakh at pan India showroom.
The Gloster DesertStorm comes in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, while the SnowStorm is available only as a 7-seater.
The new SUVs get a dual panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions and wireless charging.
“The Gloster has enjoyed popularity among Indian SUV enthusiasts for its design, space, premium features with unmatched comfort and convenience,” said Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motor India.
The new Gloster Storm series exemplifies commitment to providing exceptional and distinctive experiences and offering high-tech features that maintain MG's legacy of being premium and bold, he boasted.
Both trims are also equipped with ADAS which includes safety features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Driver Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA).
Powering the Gloster is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 161 BHP and 375 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that puts out 215 BHP and 480 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV is available in both 4WD and 2WD configurations.
The Gloster DesertStorm comes in a Deep Golden exterior colour with black highlights. It features a black grille, dark-themed ORVMs, Red Isle LED headlamps, Highlands Mist LED taillights, black door handles, roof rails, a spoiler and black alloy wheels with red brake calipers. It has a black-themed interior featuring a black steering wheel with white stitching.
The Gloster SnowStorm comes in a dual-tone exterior colour scheme of Pearl White and Black. It has headlamps with red inserts and front & rear bumpers highlighted in Pearl White with Red accents. The front grille, alloys, rear spoiler, door handles, ORVMs, window surround, fender and fog garnish are finished in black. The interior of the SnowStorm edition has a black theme with white stitching.
