New Hyundai Alcazar SUV interior, new features revealed
Pune: Hyundai, the South Korean automaker, on Monday revealed its Alcazar SUV facelift for the Indian market ahead of its launch on September 9 when the prices will be announced.
According to industry sources the deliveries will commence by mid-September. Bookings opened on August 22 with a downpayment of Rs 25,000.
“The bold new Hyundai Alcazar has been meticulously crafted offering robust design and comfort,” said Tarun Garg, Director and Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor India.
He said with its commanding presence characterized by a bolder, taller, and wider stance, the new Hyundai Alcazar radiates grandeur and sophistication.
“The premium SUV now offers enhanced seat comfort, and a splendid cabin, ensuring an unparalleled experience for the passengers,” Garg said.
This SUV gets a heavily revised exterior, and to complement that, it has a redesigned interior.
The Hyundai Alcazar, whose interior is inspired by the new Creta to a large extent, will be offered in 6 and 7-seater configurations.
The former gets captain seats in the second row with a folding armrest. The 7-seater variant has a seat tumble mechanism for easy ingress and egress to the third row.
Hyundai also claims to have improved the seat cushioning and bolstering.
The Alcazar facelift is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will be offered with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
The new Alcazar features a bold new grille with H-shaped LED DRLs and quad-beam LED headlights. The SUV has a redesigned tailgate with new LED taillights and an LED light bar, a new rear bumper, new design 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and skid plates at both ends.
