Motorcycles will be key driver of growth for Pure EV
Hyderabad: Pure EV, a Hyderabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has been making waves in the industry with its innovative approach to electric vehicle technology. Founded in 2018 by Dr. Nishanth Dongari and Rohit, the company has come a long way in developing cutting-edge technology that sets it apart from its competitors.
According to Dr. Dongari, the company’s focus on research and development has enabled it to develop advanced technologies such as predictive artificial intelligence algorithms, which have been developed in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad. These algorithms enable the company’s vehicles to offer advanced driving features such as hill hold assist, coasting region, reverse mode, and park assist.
Pure EV’s products are designed to offer value for money, with a focus on performance, safety, and durability. The company’s most selling product, the PURE EV EPluto 7G, offers the highest on-road mileage in its segment, with a mileage of up to 201 kilometers per charge. The company has also developed a unique nano phase-change material that keeps the battery temperature stable, ensuring safety and durability.
In terms of sales, Pure EV has sold over 75,000 vehicles across India, with 35-40% of its sales coming from Telangana. The company has also started exporting its vehicles to Nepal, Bhutan, and the Middle East.
Dr. Dongari emphasised the importance of customer experience, stating that the company’s focus is on developing technology that offers a seamless user experience. He also highlighted the importance of language in customer experience, stating that the company is working on developing AI-powered tools that can understand and respond to customer queries in their local language.
Pure EV is also expanding its product portfolio to include motorcycles, which Dr. Dongari believes will be a key driver of growth for the company. The company has already launched two motorcycle models, the eTryst X and the ecoDryft, which offer a range of up to 170 kilometers per charge.
In terms of future plans, Pure EV is planning to invest Rs 400 crore in setting up a new manufacturing plant in Telangana, which will have a capacity to produce 400,000 vehicles per annum. The company is also planning to expand its dealership network to 350 dealers across India in the next three years.
Pure EV’s focus on innovation, customer experience, and sustainability makes it a key player in the electric two-wheeler market in India. With its plans for expansion and investment in new technology, the company is well-positioned to drive growth and adoption of electric vehicles in India.
