Vijayawada: Special secretary B. Sundar on Saturday underlined that youth going abroad for jobs is a thing of the past. “Now, they are setting up their own start-ups. Each start-up is providing jobs to about 10 people within the country,” he stated.
Sundar was addressing the Vijayawada Regional Conference of Innovative Bharat Institutions at the R&D Theatre of KL Deemed University. He said compared to the last four years, the number of start-ups in India has increased significantly.
The special secretary said there had been 400 hundred start-ups in 2019. They have reached 1.20 lakh in 2023, which shows their increasing momentum. He observed that it is very easy to achieve national development if youth power is utilised properly.
Sundar maintained that in the next 25 years, foreign youth will be lining up for jobs in India.
Department of Innovation assistant director Deepan Sahu, AICTE assistant director K. Subba Rao, AICTE advisor Dr. Raghab Dash, KL University vice chancellor Dr. G. Pardhasaradhi Varma, KL University vice president Dr. Koneru Raja Harin, and pro vice chancellors Dr. A.V.S. Prasad and Dr. N. Venkat Ram were among those present.
