The Reliance Jio 4G VolTE Lyf phone is expected to feature a few top Chinese original device manufacturers including Zhejiang Techain Electronics Technology Co., Shenzhen CHINO-E Communication Co, Crave and Megaphone. Sticking to its game plan of providing premium yet affordable services, it is expected to combine the best of Jio’s super cheap 4G data services with that of its VoLTE technology.
Currently, Jio is the only player in the telecom market to offer VoLTE services. Others like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea are still running it on pilot basis and are yet to launch it commercially.
The launch of the phone follows Jio’s ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer which single-handedly took over the telecom market last year. As of March, Jio had recorded over a user base of over 100 million subscribers.
