PUNE: Audi, German luxury car maker, on Monday introduced its most powerful SUV, the RS Q8 Performance, in the Indian market priced at Rs 2.49 crore at pan India showroom.

“The launch of the Audi RS Q8 Performance marks a significant milestone in our commitment to bringing the very best of Audi performance cars to India,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India.
With its impressive combination of power, sophistication, and everyday usability, the new Audi RS Q8 Performance is designed for customers who demand the ultimate in performance without compromising on luxury, he boasted.
“The overwhelming response to our RS models in India has encouraged us to continue expanding our performance car portfolio, especially for our younger customers who make up nearly half of our Audi RS Q8 clientele,” Dillon pointed out.
Compared to the standard Audi Q8, the RS Q8 Performance sets itself apart with a honeycomb grille finished in black, larger air intakes on the front bumper, and a wider, more hunkered-down stance.
The RS Q8 Performance has a muscular design with a large single-frame grille in the front, flanked by Matrix LED headlamps. The SUV has flared wheel arches that house 23-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, this high-performance SUV gets a flat-faced dashboard with dual screens and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster.
It has a 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara and comes with optional Valcona leather upholstery.
The RS Q8 Performance is equipped with 4-zone automatic climate control, reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof and a 17-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.
It also has adaptive air suspension and rear axle steering.
The Audi RS Q8 Performance is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which develops an immense 640 hp and 850 Nm of torque, 40hp and 50Nm more than the standard RS Q8.
Add in a 48V mild-hybrid system, and it becomes clear how the RS Q8 Performance finishes the 0-100kph run in 3.6 seconds. It has a top speed of 305 kp/h.
