MUMBAI: Life Insurance Corporation of India chairperson M.R. Kumar said the life insurance behemoth is more confident of its business prospects with the Adani Group.
The LIC chairman said this after his meeting with the top management of Adani Group. “Life Insurance Corporation of India spoke to the top management of Adani Group,” a source close to the Adani Group told Financial Chronicle.
“I can only confirm that the conversation has happened to the department. But there's nothing you can state as of now. But yeah, we have had a meeting... and we are quite happy about the meeting," said Kumar while addressing the media at the 22nd Global Conference of Actuaries in New Delhi.
Last week LIC recouped its notional losses in Adani Group stock holdings as all Adani Group stocks rallied in four consecutive sessions as Adani Family Trust raised ₹15,446 crore by selling stakes in four Adani companies.
