Warangal: Imagine savouring a plateful of hot crispy dosas by the road side in a cool weather accompanied with a drizzle. Now, think of a variety of dosas on menu like ‘Teenmaar Dosa’, ‘Telangana Open Dosa’, ‘Chocolate Dosa’ and ‘Mexican Dosa’. This would double and triple the joy of foodies.
This is exactly what an engineering graduate-turned-entrepreneur, Kondameedi Gopi, offers to the people in Hanamkonda. With a customised ‘Tata Ace’, he serves 70 varieties dosas to his customers at Balasamudram on the Bus Station Road, opposite Hayagreeva Chary ground.
Gopi’s three year stint in the IT sector involving engineering marketing made him realise there is good scope for business in an eatery than working in an IT company. A native of Asi Reddy palli in Chityal mandal, Gopi hails from an agricultural family. His father, Rajanarsu, owns three acres of land. Gopi graduated in electrical engineering from BITS, Narampet, in 2011.
"I worked for three years in Hyderabad. I observed how a variety of roadside stalls made good business at Hitech City. I was not happy with my work and decided to test my luck setting up an eatery. My brother, Tirupathi, who is also an IT professional in Hyderabad, encouraged me. With help from him and my savings, I started off,” he said.
