Hyderabad to get Wonderla's park soon
Hyderabad: Wonderla Holidays Ltd, one of the leading amusement park operators in India, is planning to make operational its park in Hyderabad — the third in India — from next month onwards and is expecting 35 per cent topline growth by next year with this park.
The company that currently operates two amusement park in Kochi and Bengaluru is investing nearly Rs 250 crore in this park in the city and is hoping to earn Rs 60 crore in top-line in the first year. “The park in Hyderabad will have several new and exciting features like first of its kind flying theatre, reversing roller coaster and many others,” said Arun K. Chittilappilly, the managing director of Wonderla Holidays.
Elaborating more on the expected footfall and the launch date, Mr Chittilappilly said, “We are expecting a footfall of seven lakh visitors in the first year and about 10 lakh after the end of fourth year. The soft launch of the park is on April 2 and full-fledged launch will be in the third week of April. We are in the process of securing permissions which should come through in the next few weeks”
He said the company is also planning a theme park in Chennai with an investment of Rs 350 crore soon and it is expected to be ready in 2018.
