PUNE: Jaguar Land Rover, the Tata Motors-owned British luxury car maker, on Tuesday introduced the updated Land Rover Discovery Sport in India priced at Rs. 67.90 lakh at the Mumbai showroom in both petrol and diesel powertrain options.
Land Rover has made minor changes to the Discovery Sport SUV for the 2024 model year.
In terms of design and styling, the Land Rover has offered only a handful of cosmetic changes to the exterior of the updated Discovery Sport.
It now features a piano black front grille in a glossy finish, freshly designed LED headlamps and taillamps, and a new tail lamp and 19-inch alloy wheels.
“The new Discovery Sport is versatile by design and perfect for active families that like to hit the road cocooned in luxury. It is a characterful, modern, compact SUV with a versatile interior, breadth of capability as well as intuitive technology, that makes every journey for the family one of utmost comfort and safety,” Rajan Amba, MD at JLR India, boasted.
Inside, the 2024 Discovery Sport comes equipped with Land Rover’s latest 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with mobile connectivity. The SUV also gets a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera with ClearSight Ground View and ClearSight Rear View Mirror which provides an unobstructed view behind the vehicle.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport is available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol that delivers 245 BHP and 365 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 201 BHP and 430 Nm.
Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
